The Sunroom
A total transformation was the plan for our Norwood project. Originally the sunroom area was a split-level deck with a full glass roof. The KJEO team removed the deck, excavated the floor and fitted KJEO custom burnt finish concrete with 3 coats of sealer for a quality finish.
In order to give the room a 6-star energy rating, we boxed in some of the glass on the ceiling so the room did not get so hot in both summer and winter, however still allowing an abundance of natural light. We then added a custom-built set of solid hardwood steps to match the rest of the colour schemes of the renovation.
The ensuite
This was a huge transformation turning the homes main bedroom, which was a separate room with an internal electric hot water unit with a very dark walk-in robe into a beautiful retreat of bliss.
Our amazing team replaced the bulky internal hot water service to an external in wall gas instantaneous unit. We bricked up doorways and solid plastered the walls as well as knocked out one structural wall to create the space we needed.
The ensuite is complete with custom vanity, stone tops, rain shower head from the ceiling, as well as a detachable shower head for ease of cleaning and quality fixtures and fittings. We installed a large custom strip drain, frameless shower screen and custom shorter wall in the shower with a stone top shelf for toiletries or a bench to sit to shave those legs! The tiles were specifically chosen as the feature to this bathroom. We also added a Velux skylight to give the room natural light and to watch the blue sky on a gorgeous day!
The walk-through robe and main bedroom
Running off the ensuite is a delightful walk through robe to suit any ensuite. With custom cabinetry, soft close blum draws and enough hanging space we couldn’t be happier with the result.
To finish, heading into the main bedroom we replaced the flooring with light solid Australian timber floors to continue the light and airy feel to the home.
This project transformation is truly amazing and actually finishing 1 month before our deadline which our clients were as happy about as we are.
